Agape Hospice Care Agreed to Pay $250,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Services Provided by Unlicensed Individuals
After it self-disclosed conduct to OIG, Agape Hospice Care of Northeast Georgia d/b/a Agape Hospice Care (Agape), Georgia, agreed to pay $250,993.97 for allegedly violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law. OIG alleged that Agape submitted claims for services provided by two unlicensed nurses. Single damages were calculated as the full salary and benefits paid to the nurses during the period they worked without a valid license.
