Hakop Oganyan, MD and Holy Medical Center Agreed to Pay $627,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Submitting Claims for Bundled Services that Included Drugs that Were Not Purchased

On December 17, 2024, Hakop Oganyan, M.D. (Dr. Oganyan) and Holy Medical Center, Inc. (HMC), North Hollywood, California, entered into a $627,316.12 settlement agreement with OIG. The settlement agreement resolves allegations that Dr. Oganyan and HMC submitted claims to Medicare Part B and Medicaid for the provision and administration of Spravato under HCPCS Code G2082 when they did not purchase the Spravato, rather specialty pharmacies delivered the Spravato to HMC and submitted claims for the Spravato to Medicare Part D and Medicaid. Senior Counsel Katie Fink, with the assistance of Program Analyst Mariel Filtz, represented OIG.
