Longwood Management Corp. and Intercommunity Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Agreed to Pay $121,000 for Allegedly Violating the Civil Monetary Penalties Law by Employing an Excluded Individual

After it disclosed conduct to OIG pursuant to its CIA, Longwood Management Corp., and a facility it manages, Intercommunity Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center (Intercommunity), entered into a $121,783.31 settlement agreement with OIG. OIG alleged that Intercommunity employed an individual that it knew or should have known was excluded from participation in the California Medicaid program (Medi-Cal) and that no Medi-Cal payments could be made for items or services the individual furnished.
