The overall aim of this inspection was to promote a better understanding of State licensure and discipline practices concerning dentists, chiropractors, optometrists, and podiatrists. It sought to identify the extent and type of changes occurring, the major issues being addressed, and the kinds of improvements that might be made. This report, which focuses on the licensure and discipline of dentists, is the first in a series of reports to be issued as part of the inspection. Subsequent reports will focus on chiropractors, optometrists, and podiatrists.
